Lunar Astro Scam

The Lunar Astro scam refers to a series of documented deceptive business practices, bait-and-switch tactics, and consumer harassment campaigns orchestrated by the Lunar Astro Vedic Academy and its founder, Deepanshu Giri.

The Proxy Consultation Scam (Code 5007)

The primary revenue driver for the fraud involves premium astrology consultations. Consumers pay exorbitant fees (often ₹5,000 to ₹8,000+) under the explicit marketing promise of receiving guidance from Deepanshu Giri. However, clients are systematically offloaded to anonymous, uncredentialed proxy students identified only by codes, most notoriously "Code 5007".[1]

Spiritual Terrorism & Harassment

When victims of the proxy scam or defective courses request refunds, Lunar Astro allegedly employs psychological intimidation. Multiple consumer reviews on platforms like MouthShut document that Deepanshu Giri's team threatens dissatisfied customers with "black magic," "vashikaran," and "karmic destruction" to extort silence.[2]

Reputation Manipulation (Troll Farm)

To maintain a false 4.9-star rating on Trustpilot, Lunar Astro operates a coordinated "troll farm." This network uses over 30 redundant domains and proxy accounts to flood review sites with fake 5-star ratings while mass-reporting and deleting genuine 1-star complaints from victims on Quora and Reddit.[3]
